Introduction: Alabama White Sauce
Here's my version of Alabama white bbq sauce. Big Bob Gibson's in Decatur, AL is credited with creating this sauce.
Step 1: In a Large Bowl You Will Need to Combine the Following Ingredients:
1 jar of mayonnaise (use your favorite and make sure it it real mayo)
2½ cups Apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp finally chopped garlic
2 tbsp kosher salt
2 tbsp black pepper
2 tbsp cayenne pepper
Mix well in a large bowl.
Refrigerate for at least two hours before using.
This will make a large batch that can be kept in sealed jars for a few weeks in the refrigerator.
Step 2: What to Use Your Sauce On.
This sauce goes exceptionally well with smoked chicken. If you smoke your own try basting the chicken every 30 minutes with this sauce while it cooks.
This sauce is also great on potato chips. I promise you once you try this on your favorite ruffled chips you won't stop until the bag is empty.

I drive by Big Bob's every time I visit Decatur on Highway 41...but I've never eaten there! I HAVE bought his regular red sauce at our WalMart though. Now I've got to try this.

I never heard of white BBQ sauce - and I have even heard of Bib Bob Gibson and his barbecue! I am going to try this but make a MUCH small batch - you must have a whole house of barbecue lovin' fiends!

Ooh, very nice! There's a burger joint where I live that serves a white sauce like this, and it is excellent.
