Introduction: Altoids Mini Ice Hockey
Altoids Tins are just plain awesome. They can be used for many things from mini first aid kits to boredom packs. In this Instructable, I will be showing you how to make a simple Ice Hockey Game
All you will need is:
- Altoids Tin
- Permanent Marker
- 4 Toothpicks
- Airsoft BB or small round LEGO Peice
-Freezer
Step 1: Mark the Rink
Take your tin and marker and mark two goals and center line.
Step 2: Fill and Freeze
Fill the tin with a very small amount of water and put
Step 3: Make the Hockey Sticks
Take your four toothpicks and carefully bend them near the tip, like in the picture. Once you have the sticks, use the marker to color two of the four sticks, to represent two different teams. Two of these sticks are extras.
Step 4: Take the Tin Out
After about 30 minutes, remove the tin from the freezer.
Step 5: Play With a Friend
It is a fairly simple game, use a stick to get the puck in the goal. !REMEMBER TO KEEP IT IN THE FREEZER WHEN NOT IN USE!

Funny thing is that I made these as a kid so many times, I used a bendy straw cutting off the mouthpiece and bendy part and some black "friction" or better known as "hockey" tape for a grip and a pencil eraser cut off and smoothed out for a puck, then I got an idea in gym class since we played gym hockey with a bowling pin as the goal, I used a "tabletop bowling" set pin as a goal and a larger tin and the game got better since the larger the ice the slower it is to melt.

One question: WHere did you get the tabletop bowling? I've been looking all over the place for one, but I can't find any. It's alright if you don't remember.

Improvement idea: Shape some flimsy tin into a half-circle shape, put one on both sides of the can, fill the can with water EXCEPT for the tin goal parts, wait for the water to freeze, then use the small holes from the tin as easy goals.

Make the center line smaller and instead of marking an area for he goal, cut out rectangular holes on each side.
