If youve herd of bush craft and widerness survival this should help if you havent and thought the name was cool stick around and enjoy! This is a altoids surival kit made to help you in a survival situation (get lost in the woods or just a neat thing to have)
MATERIALS (in my kit)
6 rubber bands
a whistle
duct tape
snare wire
thred
2 fishing hooks
fishing line
medical gause
sand paper
pencile
paper
Step 1: Contents
the content of your survival kit dosent just haf to be like mine it can be what ever you think will help you in surviving in the wild so feel free to get creative makeing one
Step 2: Fitting Everything In
now if you dont have much space try to compact the contents like fishing hooks taped to the top and the gause rolled upand popsicle sticks on the bottom if that still wont work try geting things tht have multipule pourposes like a fish hook as a needle

you jus put a homemade .22 together with a small pocket knife and a bit of rope in a tin? loose the gun, destroy it, if it's not registered. if ATF finds you you get a criminal record because this is a felony. Apart from the fact that this is a useless gun in a survival situation. Keep the knife, the rope and the matches and look up other instructables survival kits to see what you could add. DESTROY THE GUN IF IT"S NOT REGISTERED

Actually in most states it is completely legal to make a homemade gun that does not have to be registered. it is completely legal to do so as long as you dont sell it, this is where the trouble starts. When you sell a gun then it needs refistration the new owner has to go through an fbi background check and all this crazy stuff. But again federally it is completely legal, statewize, it differs state by state. Like texas or montanna or alaska, its legal just make sure to check your state laws

It was a friends gun that i borrowed to add to the tin and he told me it was registered. Plus having a gun ready to hunt is better than taking the time to make something to hunt with.

I hope for you that he's telling the truth. This gun is the worst choice to hunt with short barrel so not a lot of fps, no sights and probably not rifled, your better of with making a harpoon, spear or bow and arrows

i hate to contradict you but as a long standing member of the gunsmithing community, i would like to point out that any firearm made by a fully fledged US citizen and kept for personal use not for sale requires no registration as long as it meets all ATF standards for a legal firearm ( IE: does not fire in fully automatic mode, or have both a stock and a barrel under 16 inches). I have personally consulted with Members of the ATF many times on this matter to ensure the firearms i work on are legal (I also have to work with 922R compliance but That's a whole different can of worms).

hey use a Gerber muti tool or a lethermen because you can have a knife saw screwdriver and much more with it

Studies show that the average survival situation ends within 72 hours, either by rescue or by discovery of the body. In that amount of time (and even longer) you can survive on stored body fat. That being the case, don't waste resources on hunting, trapping or fishing. Put water purification tablets, matches or a lighter, and a compass in there.

Add a small knife under the rubberbands, then it will be perfect! A great knife would have to be top on my list for most important things for survival.

A friend of mine puts takes apart a dental floss box and puts the spool of floss in his kit. Says it has a thousand uses.

He's right about dental floss having many uses. It's very nice because it can take a lot of weight without breaking, however I recommend that you get waxed dental floss as it is less likely to slip around while you are tying it for something.

The value of putting things in a tin is what you choose to put in there. I'd think some source of fire and a knife would be a good idea, what do you think?
