Aluminum Filament Stand

Introduction: Aluminum Filament Stand

Hello! Today I'm going to show you how to make a cheap filament stand. Many 3D printers come with small stands or spool holders, but mine did not, so I made one with spare aluminum stock and some screws.

Step 1: Parts

Step 2: Assembly

Alright, time for the build.

  1. Take out your 8x2 beams, and your circular plates. Screw in the beams in the marked hole in the first picture. Do that with each beam and plate.
  2. After that, attach the rubber feet to the bottom of the plates in a pattern that'll make the stand balanced.
  3. Now that you have the two post completed, you need to bridge them. Screw the 10x2 beam into the tops of the 8x2 beams as shown in the pictures. Make sure that one side only has one screw in it. That allows for changing filament spools easier.

That's pretty much it. Thanks for reading and, as always, Happy Making!
