## Introduction: Amigurumi Pumpkin

Did I mention that I'm an Amigurumi addict?.... What? "I don't need to"? Yeah. :D

You can see all my works on my blog:
http://fabuland.wordpress.com/category/creativita/uncinetto/amigurumi/
Some on those works are done on patterns that aren't mine.

I've made these pumpkins some years ago for my sister, who's an English teacher.

(Well, I am too, but despite myself. I prefere Maths and Sciences.)

I know I can't win in the Amigurumi contest because I live in Italy, but I want to enter just because I like to take part in it and I like to have my works be listed with similar ones.

## Step 1: Materials

Very little orange cotton/wool
Very very very very little brown and green cotton/wool
crochet 4 mm (or what you need forthe yarn)
yarn needle
stuffing

Nothing else. Very cheap.

## Step 2: Pumpkin

sc = single crochet
inc = increasing sc
dec = decreasing sc
ch = chain
sl = slip stitch

With orange:
in a magic ring:
6 sc (6)
6 inc (12)
*1 inc 1 sc** 6 times (18)
*1 inc 2 sc** 6 times (24)
*1 inc 3 sc** 6 times (30)
*1 inc 4 sc** 6 times (36)
work even 36 sc for 4 rounds
*1 dec 4 sc** 6 times (30)
*1 dec 3 sc** 6 times (24)
Stuff
*1 dec 2 sc** 6 times (18)
*1 dec 1 sc** 6 times (12)
6 dec (6)

If you want to do a bigger/littler pumpkin, just go on in increasing after you even 36 stitch (do 42, 48, 54, 60, 66, 72....) and then decrease evenly until you have 6 sc.

Leave a very long tail. Thread this tail in the needle and then pull the yarn through the top and the bottom of the ball (through the first and the last round of 6 sc). Pull the yarn so you'll make the dents of the pumpkin. To do this step evenly, I've follow the inc/dec stitches.

## Step 3:

With brown:
in a magic ring:
3 sc
3 inc (6)
work evenly 6 sc for 10 rounds (or as long as you want)
Fasten off.

Leave a long tail to sew the stem on the last round of the pumpkin.

With green:
(make 2): make a sl near the stem and crochet 20 ch.

Weave in ends.

Happy halloween! (It' s a bit early??)
