An Affordable All Natural Exfoliant for Sensitive Skin
Intro: An Affordable All Natural Exfoliant for Sensitive Skin
I have a personal rule for skin care:
"If I wouldn't want to eat it, I will not rub it on my skin"
Now, read the ingredients on most skin care products. Not exactly what I would want for lunch. So, I have figured out some ways to make a few of my favorite skin care "essentials" from products you can purchase in the baking aisle!
STEP 1: Get It Together
What you will need:
Baking soda
A container
Wet Fingers (preferably your own)
STEP 2: Preparation
Pour a small amount of baking soda into your container.
(I use a little glass dish from my kitchen that I thought was useless, UNTIL NOW!!)
I keep the dish in the high corner of my shower and just refill as needed.
STEP 3: Make a Paste
Dip wet fingertips into baking soda. This will make a paste on your fingers.* You can adjust the consistency to your liking by using more or less water.
*You do not need to wet all the baking soda in the container unless you have a giant face OR you want to use it on other parts of your body. This product can be used all over. Except your eyeballs, I wouldn't go there.
STEP 4: Apply
Apply paste to clean skin using your fingertips. A circular motion works best.
STEP 5: Rinse
Using warm water, rinse paste from your skin.
I apply and rinse in the shower.
I recommend exfoliating your face once a week. Be sure to use moisturizer and sunscreen after you cleanse and exfoliate.
HAPPY SCRUBBING!!
