Apple Cinnamon Pancakes

Introduction: Apple Cinnamon Pancakes

About: I am a wife and a mother of two. I love reading, biking, kayaking and playing the recorder.

For this recipe you will need:

2 c all-purpose flour

3 tbsp sugar

1 1/4 tsp salt

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 1/2 tsp baking soda

2 1/2 c buttermilk

2 eggs

3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

2 tbsp cinnamon

1 c granny smith apples, shredded

Step 1: Prepping the Apples

Peel and shred 1 cup of granny smith apples (approximately 2).

Step 2: Dry Ingredients

Mix the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. After they are combined, make a place in the center to pour the wet ingredients into.

Step 3:

Add the wet ingredients and mix together.

Step 4: Last Ingredient

Now add the apples and stir them in.

Step 5:

Cook 1/3 cup batter for each pancake on a pan that's been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray and heated to medium-high heat.

Step 6: Bubbles? Not Ready Just Yet!

When the pancakes start to bubble, they are almost ready, but not yet. Give it another minute and then flip them.

Step 7: Now, for the Other Side.

After you flip the pancake, cook the other side for a couple of minutes until golden brown.

Step 8: Keeping Them Warm

This recipe will make a lot of pancakes. While you are cooking up the rest, keep the first few warm on a pan in the oven that's been preheated to 350°.

Step 9: Enjoy!

Top with butter and maple syrup and enjoy!
