Introduction: Apple and Cinnamon Crisps
A few years ago I bought a pack of 'apple crisps'. I looked for them again in the supermarket recently but to no avail. I thought they looked simple enough to make, so after playing around with cooking times, here's a recipe for apple and cinnamon crisps.
Step 1: Ingridients
You will need:
Large apples. (I used Granny Smith apples, but most will work fine)
Ground cinnamon
Step 2: Step 1
Pre-heat the oven to 140 degrees Celsius. Core the apples then slice them thinly. Make sure the slices are 1 or 2 mm thick. To keep them from going brown while you're slicing the next apple, place the slices into a bowl of water, with another bowl on top to keep the slices under the water.
Step 3: Step 2
Place the slices on a oven dish covered in a baking sheet. Sprinkle cinnamon onto them. Turn the slices over and sprinkle with cinnamon again.
Step 4: Step 3
Put them in the oven for 45 mins or until they're done. Turn the slices over every 15 mins. The longer you leave them for, the crispier they will become.
Once done, take them out of the oven, let them cool and enjoy.

This is awesome! I have a weird food allergy that doesn't allow me to eat fresh fruits and veggies. I liked those apple crisps from the store but they seemed to be expensive and full of crappy preservatives. I'm going to make this! Very excited! Ty

I did not go very well. I cut them too thick. I had to turn up the oven temp and elongate the cooking time. I then forgot about them...most were overcooked. the ones that weren't were delicious though. thanks for the recipe!!!
