Introduction: Arduino Car

made a really simple arduino car

Supplies

Arduino Uno

Motor x2

Wheels x3

Wood Base

Wires x9

smiley face

screws x12

zip ties x8

breadboard

wheel axels x2

Step 1: Design

we drew a sketch of the car before we started to build it, with a pencil and paper

Step 2: The Base

A 3mm ply wooden board was used for the base, and was laser cut with the assistance of the teacher.

Step 3: Drilling Holes

Holes where marked for where the parts would be placed, and drilled using a hand drill. The parts where then zip tied to the board.

Step 4: Attaching Arduino and Motor Board

Step 5: Wiring

Wiring is shown in the image, though as you can see we used a motor board instead of the L298D motor chip.

Step 6: Programming

This is the programming we did as seen in the image.

Step 7: Aftermath Go the Much Fast

After many tests, only one motor would run at the intended speed, while the other motor would only go half that or not run at all. We tried switching the motors, replacing cables and fiddling with the code but the motor would not run properly.
