Introduction: Arduino Sensing Placer
The instructions below will guide you through creating your sensing placer. This sensing placer allows keeping your keys or other important items. When the item is placed on the iron plate, the sensor would sense its weight and the green light bulb lights up when the sensor detects to weight, the red light bulb lights up, reminding you if your item is in place at any time. This device also allows you to form a habit of organizing your item in a specific place without losing it.
The instructions below will guide you to create the sensing placer from scratch
Supplies
Materials:
1. Arduino UNO
2. Breadboard
3. Cables
4. Paper Box with lid
5. Foil paper
6. Iron plate
7. paper
8. Tape
Step 1: Step 1: Outer Hardware
Prepare a box of your choice with a lid on:
Cut 4 holes on the lid of the box like the image above, which would later be used for the cables and LED light bulbs
Then, cut one hole on the side of the box for the cable to go through later when connecting to your laptop.
Step 2: Step 2: Make Ciruit
Follow the image to attach the cabels to your breadboard and Arduino UNO.
Step 3: Step 3: Download Code
This code is for the sensor to react and the light bulbs to light up with the sensor.
The code can be download with the link below:
https://create.arduino.cc/editor/katherinecb/c71bf...
After downloading the code, connect your laptop with your Arduino UNO and test for the sensor and LED light bulbs.
Step 4: Step 4: Place Arduino UNO and the Breadboard in the Box
Step 5: Step 5: Put the Cables and LED Light Bulbs Through the Box
Through the holes we cut previously, pull the two cables of the sensor out from the holes in the left, and place the two LED light bulbs in the holes on the right.
Step 6: Step 6: Cover the Ends of the Cables of the Sensor With Foil Paper
Cover the ends of the two cables of the sensor with foil paper, then stick one to the iron plate and another to the paper we would be using later to cover the iron plate. This step make the sensing easier and would be easier for us to place it to the device.
Step 7: Step 7:
Wrap the iron plate with the paper sticked with one cable of the sensor. You can also secured the other cables with tape.
Step 8: Step 8: Touch Ups and Decorations
Add some final decorations or write some words of your choice on the box or paper.
Step 9: Step 9: Connect to Laptop
Lastly, connect your Arduino UNO with your laptop and upload the code, then you are finished with your sensing placer!
