STEP 1: TRAFFIC LIGHTS

Traffic lights are very important for roads as they control the flow of traffic.Making one of these is very easy and we r going to do it!!

STEP 2: COLLECTING MATERIAL

Materials needed --:

a) Arduino Uno

b) Bredboard

c) 3 Red Led's

d) 3 Yellow Led's

e) 3 Green Led's

f) 7 Jumper wires

g) a 9 volt battery

h) Arduino programming software

STEP 3: LED'S

First connect the red led's with the bredboard in a series.

Then connect the yellow led's in a series.

After that the greens.

STEP 4: ARDUINO PORTS

The red led's are to be connected to port no.3,the yellows to be connected to port no.4 and the greens to be connected to port no. 5. the negative leads of all led's to be taken common and connected to the nearest ground or Gnd ports.

STEP 5: Programing

The program fr the following is uploaded and you can download it from clicking the link given below.

STEP 6: Photos and Videos

Thank you for the instructable. Another thing you want to be careful of is that when connecting LEDs directly to the pins of the arduino, especially with out resistors, (except pin 13) you will possibly burn our the arduino because it is rated only to put out a certain amount of current. The circuit works but can damage the board.

Thank you for your concern sir,
As I have already told that I am biggner in arduino and I still have to learn some basics ,I will take this seriously and next time use resisters.

In the code it looks like the green led just blinks on and off every half of a second until the red led comes back on. Why is this?

That 'arpind' is a spelling mistake. It is 'around'.
The code i designed took arpind 5 days.
I am a bignner in arduino and i designed the code very carefully as per my skills.
This answer will also be answered in the video which i will post today.

This could use a lot more photos and some more specific steps. Keep going with it.

i actually made it today and the photos and the video will be uploaded tommorow
