Something me and my woodshop teacher put together for one of the deans at our school. He apparently wanted a sign of somesort with a dragon holding his house address, and I came up with this design. It's not exactly how he initially planned it, but he loved it either way. Personally, I think it game out beautifully for something we pulled out in a total work time for 6 hours.

It looks great! The idea is, too - I'm thinking of making a smaler version for the front lawn, although I might go with my daughters' ideas rather than aim for something asian.
Also, did you paint it, I mean in a different color to accentuate the engravings?

Well as you can see, it's sprayed with stain that has a Redwood color with additional red color concentrates, but the owners i beleived used some black and gold to give it more contrast.

This is wonderful! What a really cool idea, any idea what his house looks like, I'm working if it has an Oriental feel.
