Step 1: Select a Mask
You can either draw a mask or select a mask from the internet ,In my case I am choosing a shape from the internet.
Step 2: Creating a Base
Use a plastic sheet to mold your clay so it does not stick to the table
Make a base using newspaper or nay other paper.
You can tape it down to secure it.
creating a curved mold is key to a proper face shape.
Step 3: Base of the Mask
Make the paper mash into a ball and then flatten it in an oval shape on the gauss.
Make sure the paper mash is at least a centimeter thick.
Step 4: Shaping the Mask
Shape the base by putting it on top of the created mold of paper.
Step 5: Details
Add eyebrows , nose , lips , ears ,cheeks by shaping extra clay in your hand.
Stick the details by adding water to the required area and base and the features to make mash.
make sure you blend the features into the base of the mask so they do not fall of after they dry.
Once your done leave them to dry for a week.
Step 6:
Once they are dry done peel the gauze of the mask.
Next add a layer of primer on the mask. You can chose not to and just paint the mask with acrylic colours.
When the primer is done drying ,paint the mask!
Step 7:
Make stand of the mask by cutting the styrofoam and sticking it using super glue.
Make sure you cut the styrofoam according to your mask size .
Step 8:
Congratulations! your mask ready to be displayed.
