Intro: Awareness Ribbon Nail Art

So it's Mother's Day weekend, and every Mother's Day, I go with my mom and grandma to this Race for the Cure for Breast Cancer.  I thought I'd paint my nails accordingly.

You can do this in whatever color you want.

STEP 1: What You Need

Supplies:
  • Base color of choice (I used white)
  • Pink color
  • Top coat
  • Brush (I bought these cheapo brushes to use for nail art)

STEP 2: Base

Paint your nails your base color.  Get a nice coat.

STEP 3: Decorate

Time to decorate!

I dipped my brush right in the bottle and this might have been fine except mine has this fat handle and it got all over the handle and so it got all over my hand.

I tried doing a big ribbon on my ring finger and then tried out smaller ones on the other fingers.  I like the big on, but you can do what you like best or do both like I did.

You need to use that expensive laser cutter in the office to make some tiny nail stencils. Robot with a ribbon.
very nice - love that you're using a paint brush too - way to go!
Thanks! I think I'm starting to get better at painting my nails :) Those paint brushes are really helping!
I love this idea, I have a nail art pen of that same pink color that would be perfect to draw these ribbons!
Yes! I've just used it for my new nail art, thank you for the inspiration! :)
Love it! I will have to remember this for Ovarian Cancer Awareness month!
Such a nice idea for nail art, I'm going to try this very soon :)
They look fabulous--I like the big one! My mom died battling breast cancer, so this would be the perfect tribute this weekend! Thanks for the idea! :)
I'm very sorry to hear that! Thankfully, I have not lost anyone and I hope they continue to research it :)
