Introduction: Balancing Chemical Reactions Manipulatives
Sometimes it helps to have a manipulative to move around when learning how to balance chemical equations. This manipulative is a template made on card stock, and sets of several different colored paperclips to represent atoms of different elements.
Students will use a different color of paperclip to represent a different element in the equation and make balanced piles of paper clips in the reactant and product areas while learning how to balance chemical equations by inspection.
