Introduction: Banana Fantasy

This is a delicious dessert that makes perfect use of those bananas you have laying around that are too ripe to eat by themselves.

Be sure to clean your hands and the area you're working in. A clean kitchen is a happy kitchen!

Step 1: Round Up the Ingredients

To make this yummy dessert, you'll need:

- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or other nut
- 1 8-ounce package of cream cheese, softened

- 2 small (3.4 ounce) packages vanilla pudding mix

- 1 medium bowl

Step 2: Making the Crust

Every food needs a base. All your base are belong to us.

*ahem* It's time for you to create your crust!

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a small bowl, mix the flour and butter together until will blended. Add nuts and stir well. Press mixture into ungreased 9x13-inch pan. You can use your hands or a spoon, whichever you feel more comfortable with. Then, pop it in your nice hot oven for 10-15 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely.

Step 3: I'm Gonna Cream You!

After you've taken your crust out of the oven, it's time to move onto the next step.

With your mixer, cream together the sugar and cream cheese. Be sure to scrape the sides and bottom occasionally. Beat until light and fluffy. Then, gently fold* in 1 cup of Cool Whip. Spread evenly over the cooled crust. Top with one layer of banana slices.

*Folding means to very gently mix together not by stirring, but by scraping ingredients from the bottom and incorporating with ingredients added. It helps to keep ingredients that have air incorporated in them, in this case Cool Whip, light and fluffy. Otherwise you'd end up with something the consistency of cream!

Step 4: Pudding!

This is the yummiest part of all, the pudding layer!

Pour milk into medium bowl and add the pudding mix. Whisk together for 2 minutes or until smooth. Spread evenly over bananas. Cover with remaining Cool Whip. Cover the whole thing and refrigerate for about 20 minutes or until pudding is firm.
