In this instructable I will tell you how to make a barbie doll into a troll. You can do other monsters and such like this. I am working on a ghost now. I apologise in advance for not having the correct pictures. I took mine from the internet. All I remembered to take was the before and after.

Step 1: Supplies

-Barbie
-Plush toy near the same size *Optional*
-Washrag *Optional*
-Needle and thread *Optional*
-Acrylic paints
-Something to seal the paint (all I had was nail polish)
-Highlighter, sharpie, acrylic paint, or food coloring to dye the hair (All these techniques can be found online)
-Nail polish remover
-Q-tips and cotton balls
-Paper towels

Step 2: Remove Factory Paint

Wrap paper towels around the body of the doll. If nail polish remover gets on your doll's body it will melt it. Take your cotton balls and q-tips and cover them in nail polish. Start rubbing over the eyes, eyebrows, and lips until all or most of the paint is gone. Rinse face when done.

Step 3: Paint Barbie

Wrap the dolls hair in paper towels so paint doesn't get on it. Paint your entire barbie with your choice of skin color.

Step 4: Paint Face Details

Leave the paper towel on her hair as you paint.

Step 5: Seal

Seal the paint. I used clear nail polish because I had nothing else. Nail Polish will eventually chip so it will require repaints.

Step 6: Dye Hair

If you use a sharpie or highlighter just color on her hair from the roots down. Remember to do the underside of the hair.

Step 7: Plush Toy Clothing *Optional*

Cut off your toys head at the seam and remove the stuffing from the bear. Next cut off the arms and legs at the seams. Cut and sew to make the hat (from toy head), boots (from legs), shirt (from torso), and arm cuffs (from arms). Cut and sew the washrag to make the skirt. I sewed the skirt to the shirt but this isn't mandatory.

Step 8: Thanks for Reading!

You now have a troll doll (or whatever you made)! Please comment with questions and pictures of your outcome!
