Beer Can Soap Dish

Intro: Beer Can Soap Dish

It holds your soap and it's made from a beer can :o

STEP 1: Materials

For this Instructable you will need:
- A can you'd be proud to flaunt (473ml works well)
- scissors
- dry erase marker

STEP 2: Prepare Can

Lay your can on its side such that the mouth is at the bottom.

STEP 3: Draw Cut Lines

On the top of the can, draw a line from one end to the other. Make sure you leave about half a cm on each side (you need to fold this part over later so nobody gets cut).

At the end of this line draw another set of lines that reach about 1/3 of the can's circumference downwards.

STEP 4: Cut

With your scissors, cut along the lines. It might help to poke a hole at the end of the lines with a small screwdriver so you don't cut too far

STEP 5: Bend

Using the edge of your table as a guide, bend the sides down away from their natural position.

Next you'll want to bend over the sharp edges of the can so that nobody bleeds on the soap!

STEP 6: Insert Soap

Insert soap.
You know what to do next!

I guess you could insert other things as well. Maybe pop tabs if you're into that; or butter.

very nice and easy thanks for posting
That looks sweet, but possibly sharp
This is a really good idea. The use of the drinking hole as a drain is great. Although, in the way you have it configured now, it'd make a bit of a mess. Why not make a spout out of some of the 'door' material?
I love this idea of finding a good use for drink cans. To improve this one, perhaps the sharp edges could be folded over -- or wrapped in duct tape or something -- to reduce the danger of getting cut.
I guess all the blood will help lather up your soap that much better
