Introduction: Beginner Macrame Video for a Pacifier Holder and Teether Combo.

My husband and I are new grandparents. Our grandchild is 9 months old and in the teething phase. I see all of the different teething things they have now and the one thing she chews the most is the pacifier holder fabric. So, I wanted to try to teach myself the art of Macrame anyway and thought what a great first project because the knots in the holder will be great for soothing a teething baby.

Supplies

Cotton yarn

Alligator clip

Ruler

Scissors

Stand to hold your work

Step 1: Macrame Pacifier Holder and Teethee

You will begin with adding your yarn to the alligator clip with a “Larks Head Knot”

Step 2: Square Knot

You will now add your square knots
Row 1: 1 square knot across 3x’s
Row 2: 1 square knot 2x’s to join the first three.

Step 3: Square Knot Continues

Row 3: 3 - Double square knots (A regular square knot twice) across.
Row 4: 2 - Double square knots to join the three in above row.

You will continue this pattern until it reaches the length you want.

Step 4: Pacifier Loop

Once you reach the length you want you will take the longest thread and tie it in a knot with another piece of yarn to make the pacifier holder loop.

Step 5: Finishing

Once the pacifier loop is made you will take an extra piece of yarn and do the “Standard Wrap” to tie it all together. When done you will want to trim all of the yarn ends EXCEPT the pacifier loop.

Now you are done, thank you for viewing!!
