1/2 c sugar

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 c melted butter

1/2 tsp vanilla

1 tsp baking soda

3 very ripened bananas

2 eggs

Step 2: Using That Electric Mixer

Combine both sugars with the butter.

Step 3: Separate Bowl

Mash the bananas completely until there isn't any lumps.

Step 4: Another Bowl

Whisk the eggs.

Step 5: Back to That Mixer

Add the bananas and eggs to the sugar mixture and combine.

Step 6: Grab Another (large) Bowl.

Mix the flour, baking soda and salt together.

Step 7: Now Combine Everything

Add the two mixtures together and stir with a spoon until combined, then stir in the vanilla.

Step 8: Last Dish to Bring Out

A tip: bananas can be frozen, in the skin, for weeks and used in such recipes. No need to discard them when they look over-ripe. Good flavor lasts a long time. Just thaw and discard skin; preserve any juices and use in the recipe as well.

At what point in the mixing should the vanilla be added? I don't see that ingredient mentioned anywhere except the original list. From the pictures in Step 2, I'm guessing that the brown liquid in the bowl with the melted butter and the sugars is the missing vanilla.

Sorry, can't believe I did that...step 7 after everything is mixed together, it's the last thing you blend in. Edited to correct.

Are you sure you meant BAKING SODA?
    perhaps you meant BAKING POWDER?
Soda will make it very salty and won't produce CO2 like powder will.
I made that mistake with a large batch of inedible cookies once. Has to toss them out.
