Intro: Best Steak Ever

Based on the hit Instructable, here's the video version for those of us who prefer to seeing to reading.

This video explains in less than 2 minutes the simple way to prepare the most delicious steak you have ever eaten. If you have ever eaten Churrasco at restaurants like Fogo de Chao or Rodizio Grill you know how incredible this tastes. This is a traditional Gaucho method from the south of Brazil.

Watch and enjoy.

Good job. I use this method with Kosher salt as BigCommieNat recommends. One more step I'd add is to ensure the steaks are as dry as possible before putting them on the grill (the goal being to keep the surface from steaming in its own juice). I usually just pat them dry with a paper towel. Also, be sure to let your steaks rest for a few minutes before cutting into them... else you'll leak the steaky goodness all over your plate.
Hmmm. That's an iteresting idea about waiting before cutting in. I usually have the steak eaten within minutes of its removal from the grill. My plate is usually very soppy. I'll give that a try.
Shoe, glad I could help. Really, any sort of meat should be allowed to rest before slicing so that the juices can be reabsorbed. I usually wait 5 minutes or so.
oh my god i am so hungry !!!!! That looks really really nice, i gotta try this !!! 5*!
please note... Ice cream salt is not food grade salt. It's poisonous... but likely in such small concentration in the actual steak your eating to make little difference.

(see the rock salt entry)

same process with kosher salt would work well though
