Introduction: Binder Clip Catapult

Hi there! This is my first instructable, so if anyone has tips or suggestions, please comment. Sorry for the bad pictures, but hopefully the steps are clear enough to follow. Anyway, this is a really cool catapult I came up with after school one day. I showed it to my friends, and they liked it, so I hope you like it too!

Step 1: Materials

Here is all you will need for this super simple catapult.
-One binder clip (any size will do, just don't get the ones that are bigger than your hand)
-One rubber band (again, size doesn't matter, but try to get one that is about as long as your clip when it is fully extended)

Step 2: Putting It Together

Now that you have your materials, we need to put this catapult together! Just follow the steps below and refer to the pictures if you need any help.
1. Take your binder clip and turn the prongs in their folded down position.
2. Loop the rubber band through the inside of the prongs, then stretch the ends of the band to the opposite sides, going over both prongs.

Step 3: Firing

To fire, clamp down on a hard surface, like a book, ruler, or the side of a table. Find something that you would like to send sailing 7 feet away, bend the top prong almost all the way down, the set your ammo into the widened area near the top. Now all you need to do is let go! Also, I found a cool modification where you can attach the catapult to a watch strap or thick bracelet and fire from there. Have fun and don't shoot your eye out with this crazy cool catapult!
Note: I am not responsible for anything you do with this. Don't aim at people's faces, use sharp objects for ammo, or anything else that could result in injury.
