Introduction: Biscotti (Italian Cookie)

This is good Italian treat! Good with coffee or tea! Kids love them dipped in milk!

This recipe was passed down to me in 1970.

This is a staple in my home. When anyone comes to our home, they always leave with a Ziploc bag of Biscotti!

Step 1: The Biscotti Recipe

BISCOTTI ( Recipe from 1970)

PRE HEAT OVEN 375 DEGREES--LIGHTLY GREASE 2 COOKIE SHEETS.

BEAT 20 MINUTES:

6 EGGS

1 CUP SUGAR

ADD:

1 CUP OIL--DRIZZLE INTO BATTER WITH MIXER RUNNING.

3 Teaspoons ANISE Flavoring

MIX TOGETHER :

3 ½ CUPS FLOUR

3 ½ TSP. BAKING POWDER

WITH WOODEN SPOON (NOT MIXER) ADD FLOUR

MIXTURE TO EGG MIXTURE. Handful of slivered almonds can be added (optional)

DROP BY TABLESPOONS ON TO COOKIE SHEETS IN THE SHAPE OF 2 LOAVES. Use 2 ccokie sheets (4 loaves)

BAKE 15 TO 20 MIN (UNTIL SET AND STARTING TO CRACK. REMOVE FROM OVEN.

SLICE INTO ¾ SLICES. Place each on side in single layer.

PUT BACK IN OVEN AND TOAST ONE SIDE THEN THE OTHER (WATCH CAREFULLY THEY BURN EASY!!
