Introduction: Black and White Cookie-Crumb Cake-Pops

Welcome to my instructable on making Black and White Cookie-Crumb Cake-Pops. Essentially I made two batches of cake pops where one was vanilla cake with chocolate chips and vanilla icing, coated in dark chocolate, and another almost the exact opposite(dark chocolate cake with white-chocolate chips and dark chocolate icing, coated in white chocolate). And both were covered in cookie crumbs.

Ingredients:
-Vanilla Cake Mix
-Dark Chocolate Cake Mix
-Chocolate Chips
-White Chocolate Chips
-Vanilla Icing
-Dark Chocolate Icing
-White Melting Chocolate
-Dark Chocolate Melting Chocolate
-Oreo(or similar) Cookies
-Lollipop Sticks

Step 1: Make the Cake

Mix the cake mixes as normal but add in the chocolate chips. Then bake and cool as directed.

Step 2: Crush Your Cookies

While your cakes are baking/cooling, I suggest taking the time to crush your cookies. There are a number of different methods to do this. I just put them in a food processor, but you can use a blender as well, or crush them by hand. Either way, you want to have a bag of cookie crumbs in the end.

Step 3: Smush the Cake

After your cakes have thoroughly cooled, you get to destroy them. Put it in a bowl and with a wooden spoon crush it up until its nice and loose. Then add in the icing. I found that you need about one can of icing for a whole cake, maybe a little more or a little less depending on the type of cake. Then using your hands make the cake/icing mix into balls, about the size of a ping-pong ball. Then stick them in the fridge to stiffen.

Step 4: The Fun and Messy Part

Before you begin this step have everything ready:
-Chocolate is melted and very thin
-Cookie Crumbs are ready in a bowl
-Have a stand of some kind to hold them up to cool

Take the cake/icing balls out of the fridge and stick a lollipop stick in each one. Then dip them one at a time into the melted chocolate and cover all side with chocolate. Keep the chocolate coating thin, as if you add too much it adds a lot of weight to the cake ball and makes it hard to keep it on the stick.

Step 5: Cookie Crumbs

Doing one pop at a time, move to the cookie crumbs. Roll the pop in the crumbs and use a spoon to help cover all sides with cookie crumbs. I suggest now handing it off to a partner that can keep rotating the pop while it cools, because at this point they are about ready to fall off the stick. Meanwhile you can move on to the next one while the chocolate is still hot.

Step 6: Enjoy

Let them cool and the chocolate harden. Then enjoy having a chocolate overload :D
