Introduction: Blank CD Case Cooler
A hack with some simple things, has some practical uses, totally open project. Feel free to be creative. Oh and if im retarded and u wanna complain or whatever hit me at d_j_M_R_R@hotmail.com being has it this is my first instructable.
Step 1: Gather Stuff
Materials i used:
Wire stripper
9v battery
poster putty
old 2 pin 80mm 12v dc compy fan
Blank Cd Case of course
Dremmel
Exacto Knife
Pen
4 1 1/4 drywall screws or 1 inch should work fine
4 erasers...the cheap little thing kinds
Duct Tape
4 gold snap things, the stuff used in kindergarten to make paper jointed creatures
2 paper clips
2 conductor wire or whatever
And thats pretty much it

Step 2: Cutting Hole
Cutting a hole in the top of the cd case is probably the toughest to do out of the project
K outline it with a fan girll or something

then grab x-acto
scrap over it and all
then start to add pressure

Step 3: Attach Things
Grab dry wall screws
hand drill through plastic
OH quick btw / bactrack if you got a lot of rough edges in the hole use a dremmel w/ a sand bit to file down
Screws should hold fan fine
flip over top and add erasers on screw ends for elimation of the pointyness

Step 4: Attach More Stuff
K grab 9v battery stick poster putty on bottom and stick on top of middle of grill
Then strip some wire and cut some of 2 conductor, 6 inches is plenty
Then strip and cut off end on 2 pin ball bearing fan connector
then braid wire
rember black is negative red and white are positive make sure witres when assembled on ghetto switch line up right

Step 5: MAking the Ghetto Switch
Cut 2 rectangles out of duct tape
same size
put sticky side together
then insert snaps make sure they are all alligned so no single snap touches another
look on back

then hook wire up
make sure pos and neg are properly alligned left to right top to bottom so neg connects to other neg ; pos connects to other pos
add paper clips one can constantally link between two snaps
other one acts as a switch to complete circut turning it on and off
