Introduction: Bloody Mary Make-Up

About: I am a conceptual artist, and my DIY projects are mostly inspired by pop culture (movies, music, sports, TV). I mostly specialize in painting, graphic design, drawing, digital photography, performance art, and…

If the iconic alcoholic beverage, the Bloody Mary were a real person, this is what she would've looked like!

Step 1: Black Eyeliner

I began by outlining my eyes with a black eyeliner.

Step 2: Black Shadow

Next, I layered on some black eye shadow, and topped it with a layer of black face paint to deepen the look. Then, I smudged it just a little bit for a dramatic look. When doing this step, don't smudge it too much, or it will look bruised.

Step 3: Blood Lines

Then, using red face paint, I made blood lines going down from the bottom eyelid.

Step 4: Final Touches

Finally, I used a bit of make-up on the areas of the face, including:

*a layer of black mascara (I used Maybelline Rocket Volume Mascara in Black)

*dark pink shadow on the blood lines for depth (I used a dark pink shadow from the Wet N Wild Floral Values palette)

*a layer of dark lipstick (I used Maybelline Color Sensational in Deepest Cherry)

Step 5: Gory!

Now, you can go all out and gory with this simple yet sophisticated take on the Bloody Mary!
