Materials:

Paper bag
5 sheets of paper*
String**
* Try maps, wrapping paper, scratch pa- per, envelopes, etc.
** Or yarn, dental floss, thread, cording etc.

Tools:

Scissors
Needle
Ruler
Markers*
* Or crayons, paint, colored pencils, etc.

Step 1:

Cut 5 sheets of paper in half.

Step 2:

Cut a piece of brown paper bag to fit the size of the paper.

Step 3:

Stack the recycled paper and brown paper bag together. Fold in half.

Step 4:

Open the stack of paper to the middle. Make 5 evenly spaced holes down the fold line.

Step 5:

Thread the needle. Start at the top hole and thread over and under all the way through the bottom hole.

Step 6:

From the bottom hole, thread back up to the top, going over and under in the opposite direction. Stop when you reach the second to top hole. Tie the thread ends together and trim.

Decorate your cover!
