Introduction: Bookmark
This is a step by step tutorial showing you how to make your own bookmark. This project may appeal more to peoplpe who enjoy drawing but you don't need to know how to draw to do this tutorial.
Step 1: Materials and Color
You will need:
1. Glue Gun
2. Ruler
3. Pencil and Eraser
4. Scissors
5. Colored Paper
6. Tape
In this tutorial I used construction paper, but you can use cardstock or any other colored paper. I would recommend using thicker paper.
After you gather your materials pick two pieces of paper that are two different colors.

Step 2: Measure and Cut
Once you've selected the colors then you can measure and cut the paper. I measured mine 6in by 2in, but In the end I thought it looked kind of fat. The first one I had made (teal and black) was around 7in by 2in, and I think that one looks better.
After you measure and outline on each pieces of paper cut them both out. Don't forget to make sure they're exactly the same size!

Step 3: Draw and Cut Again
Now that its cut, draw out your design onto ONE of the pieces of paper. Make sure to draw on the side you DON'T want showing, because we will flip it late to hide any pencil and eraser marks. If you're not the best artist print, cut out and trace the design onto your paper.
After that's all drawn out cut out your design. Be sure to know which parts to cut and what parts you want in which color. To get you started make a hole with your scissors to get into your design. Cut from there.

Step 4: Glue and Tape
Tape or glue the two pieces of paer together. Make sure the one you cut your design out is on top and flipped to hide the eraser/pencil marks. I would recommend glueing the corners and taping down the smaller parts of the design with rolls of tape.
Step 5: Finishing Up!
You are done!... Unless you want to do a little more: you could lamenate it, tie on one of those kool book mark tassels, or put it in a sleeve. If you're going to lamanate it be sure to hole punch and add the tassel after it is lamanated. Enjoy your new bookmark. :33
