Introduction: Braided T-Shirt Dog Toy
A quick, easy, and probably free, DIY project. Turn any t-shirt into a fun tug toy to play with your dog.
Supplies
- Old T-Shirts
- Fabric Scissors
- Rope (optional)
Step 1:
Lay shirt out on the ground.
Step 2:
Cut off collar, bottom seam, and arm seams. Cut off sleeves and put to side for later.
Step 3:
Cut shirt in 1-1 1/2 “ strips and place into pile.
Step 4:
Cut the sleeves in half so they become a long rectangle. Cut the fabric into strips and place into pile.
Step 5:
Grab one strips, cut in half and tie around top of strip pile.
Step 6:
Braid t-shirt strips, tie bottom half, and cut off any excess.
Step 7:
1. Be creative. Braid could include a piece rope OR cut multiple shirts to make multi-colored toys.

May I point out, sadly through ACTUAL prior experience, that if a pet ingests man made fibers and materials, EVEN in small amounts, they can block the animal's intestines to the point of a very suffering DEATH. While it's OK for your pet to play with stuff like this, it is YOUR responsibility to recognize the plight of your pet if thing go South (No EAT!) and get immediate Veterinary care. You have less than three days based upon the loss of my 1 year old boy Samoyed. Just sayin'.
