Introduction: Easy to Make Brownies for Beginners
Like the title says, these are your basic brownies, nothing more and nothing less. The recipe is incredibly easy to follow and perfect for beginners who just want try out baking and was the first thing I ever baked.
Step 1: Gathering Ingredients
1/2 Cup of Vegetable Oil or 1 stick of butter
1 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
1/3 cup of cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of flour
Step 2: Preheat the Oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit or 175 Degrees Celsius
Step 3: Heat the Butter Until Liquid If You're Using Butter. Otherwise, Blend the Oil/butter and Sugar Together.
Butter seems to be better for this recipe but you don't have butter, oil works just fine.
Step 4: Add in the Eggs and Vanilla and Mix Until Blended.
For brownies with a nice crust on top, blend the batter as much as possible.
Step 5: Add All the Dry Ingredients (cocoa, Flour, Baking Powder) Into a Bowl and Mix.
Step 6: Add the Dry Ingredients Into the Wet Ones and Mix Until Even.
Step 7: Grease a 9x9 Baking Pan With Either Butter or Oil and Pour in the Mixture.
Grease it well or there will be difficulties getting the brownies out.
Step 8: Bake for Around 20 Minutes or Until the Brownie Peels Off the Sides.
If the recipe is doubled or more, allow for additional cooking time.
Step 9: Allow Brownies to Cool. Then Remove and Enjoy!
Step 10: Recipe Modifications
The recipe can be doubled for twice the portions. Just use a 9x13 pan and bake for a bit longer.
Dark chocolate powder works just as well for people who like dark chocolate.
Things like frosting, chocolate chips, M&Ms can be sprinkled on top before cooking if preferred.
If you're an avid coffee lover, you can also add some espresso into the mix, around 2 tablespoons of strong coffee.
