Step 2: Safty First

Never do anything that can endanger you or anyone else! Never use gas to start a fire. Keep a bucket of water nearby in case the fire may spread. NEVER leave children unattended near a fire!

Every forest/wildfire starts with just a spark!

Step 3: Start a Fire

When your fire pit is ready, collect a pile with a variety of limbs and logs. Begin with small twigs, then use bigger sticks until you are using some small logs.

Start the fire using your safe preferred method.

Step 4: Prepare for Cooking

When the fire has burnt down, and you have a nice bed of coals you're ready to cook.

Dice up your potatoes and onions into 1/4" cubes, add mushrooms and shredded carrots into a bowl.

Stir, then add seasonings and stir again. Put in your pan and cover.

Step 5: Cook a Delicious Meal

Place your pot on the bed of coals, and rake them around it. Let them cook for about 15 min, then stir them to make sure they are not burning around the edge. It depends on the heat of your coals but in about ten more minutes they should be done.

Enjoy your delicious meal!
