Introduction: Bulbasaur Succulent Planter W/ Free File
As you might have noticed by my previous posts i'm not a fan of lawyers.. specially those of big companies who attack makers.
I encounter the sad world of cease and desist letters and corporate world when i did my 3d Printed Iron Throne.
https://www.instructables.com/id/The-Iron-Throne-Do...
I made that item because Chinese manufacturing driven corporate america wasn't producing this product. So i made it myself. Some people and fans joined my passion for this product and pre-ordered some. However, i was shut down by lawyers and was denied licensing from this company.
Many people say hey you should of gotten it licensed.. i tried to license numerous products after that.. However, getting in touch with the right people is merely impossible.. I couldn't even find number for their licensing department. Even When i did i was denied licensing because i didn't have the ability to mass produce nor was a multi million dolllar company.
So what happens when you don't get a license and the company doesn't make the product you were making? it never gets made and no one gets it.. Kinda like the big kid at the yard taking his ball and going home..
So When i saw this 3D printed Bulbasaur being taken down before i could purchase one... i 1st got mad and then i went to work...
If lawyers and corporate don't want to give licenses to small entrepreneurs.. pretty much take their ball and go home.. Fine no problem.. I'll 3D print my own ball... i'll share it with the world and they can 3d print their own ball at home.. in this case a succulent planter
So step one 3D model!! or you can download my model from here
So i usually don't give models away.. however, i'm trying something different today..
I usually say that if i win the contest i will give my 3d model away.. I have yet to win any contest so that's why i haven't shared my Iron Throne Files.. Since that "if" i win thing doesn't seem to be working i'm giving you the free 3D model now and hope you please vote for me This video shows how to vote for me.. and after i have links to where you can download this 3d print ready
Free models below

Step 1: 3d Print, Test and Repeat
So After 3d modeling i came across a couple of issues.. One the Planter wasn't big enough.. also the pouch that held the dirt wasn't Big Enough..
So i made the print as big as it could be printed in a UP! mini.. also hollowed the entire model to make the entire body be able to hold dirt.. Also Made a 3D printed hole that allow drainage for excessive water..
Once that was done.. i 3D printed again
Step 2: Paint
So the print looks good specially if you have a nice color.. However, you can always paint it.. I made some stencils for the green spot and painted..and painted some more

I think you have a real talent for 3D work, and your objects are amazing. It is a shame though that your 'ibles read with such attitude (i.e., "I'll release the files and give away models when I win something"). It is a shame that you cannot get licensing and I too wish that more companies would make it easier for the backyard designer to get products mass made, I have plenty of ideas based on others IP that I doubt will never see the light of day outside of Instructables, or similar types of websites - but that doesn't really seem like enough of a reason (in my extremely humble opinion - I am not a mod nor represent the views of the companies) to vent as much as you do here. It seems like most of your 'ibles are for venting and showing of rather than encouraging the community to build as well, and sharing your skills with others.
I hope in the very least that you may be able to license the 3D models themselves on somewhere like thingverse and I will gladly pay you to download and print them on my future 3D printer, whenever I may buy or win one. But please please please, more instructions on how to model like you and less complaining about "the man"?

I don't have access to a 3d printer - probably never will, but I applaud your tenacity and ingenuity. Also bulbasaur looks cool :).
Voted. Thanks for posting.
