Introduction: Bunny & Hedgehog Steamed Buns
These steamed buns are beef filled :)
Step 1: Dough
400 g flour
1 tbsp active dry yeast
2 tbsp sugar
salt to taste
1 cup lukewarm water + a little more (less than 1/4 c)
2 tbsp oil
Mix dry ingredients, make a well in the center, pour in water+oil, knead well (3-5 minutes).
Cover with damp towel let stand for at least 30 minutes or doubled in size.
Punch down dough, make a log, then slice into 8-11 portions.
Step 2: Steamed Buns
FILLING:
200-300 grams ground beef
Hungarian Vegeta seasoning (or any other seasoning such as Royco powder)
1 envelope taco seasoning
Prepare taco beef as instructed on the envelope of taco seasoning, set aside to cool
BUNS:
Green onion
Flat each portion either using your hand or rolling pin, place 1 heaping tbsp of taco beef, 1 tsp sliced green onion, pinch seam to seal.
To make bunny buns, make two incision on the top, creating a V shape, while for the hedgehog, basically you just kinda make a cut here and there without cutting through the buns :)
Steam filled buns for 15 minutes at least or until well cooked.
Serve with your favorite sauce!
