Step 1: Step 1
Draw a rectangle : 11 x 16cm
For the butterfly draw two horizontal parallels : the first 3.5 cm over the top of the page and the second 3 cm over this one.
The width of the body has to measure less than 1 cm so 0.5 cm of each side, you can give the form that you want to the wings but the width has to make 4.5 cm and the height 7 cm.
To people who want a model I scanned the pattern that I drew to do my cards.

Step 2: Step 2
Once you add the butterfly shape to each side of the rectangle you can cut your pattern. Then you can take one of construction paper and draw the card.
Step 3: Step 3
The next step is the folding : you divide the card on 3 parts : 4cm - 8cm -4 cm
Step 4: Step 4
Inside of the card we will glue another sheet of construction paper to write the message of the invitation. You can draw a rectangle : 7 x 9cm and cut it using the pair of craft scissors. You can decorate or paint your card as you want and write your message !
Step 5: Step 5
To close your card you have to cut few centimeters of the butterfly's body
-> the black line on the photo
I advise to cut little by little because the centimeters can to vary.
