Step 1: DRAW AN ANT

- Draw an ant's body in bigger cardboard,

- That body contains the head, thorax, abdomen,

- Then cut it away.

Step 2: TRACE AND CUT

- Then trace the body structure in another bigger cardboard and also cut it away,

- Mark them as 1 & 2.

Step 3: CARDBOARD CIRCLES

- Mark lines in 5cm gap in 1st structure and measure the diameter at the same point,

- In the same diameter, draw an circle on cardboard by using compass and cut it away.

- Measure diameter also at joints and make cardboard circles,

- Identify the name of the circle as below,

  1. H -Head
  2. TA 1 -thorax 1
  3. TA 2- thorax 2
  4. TB - thorax back

Step 4: BISECT & VERTICAL CUT

- Bisect the cardboard circles and cut in vertically up to half to the circle,

- Make the same distance vertical cut in body structure from the centre line,

- mention all half circles as

↑-upside

↓-downside.

Step 5: CHECK IT

- let's check both, circles and body structure,

- if there are any corrections on it, correct them.

Step 6: MAINTAIN GAP

- If the diameter of the piece more than 10cm or more than 1 half circle, it's important to maintain the gap between them,

- Use cardboard piece to maintain gap,

- the gap from centre piece is 4cm on each sides,

- maintain gap in thorax and abdomen.

Step 7: TRACED STRUCTURE

- Bisect the traced structure(2),

- Separate each body parts,

- Stick small pieces of cardboard sheet in each body parts,

- Stick that body parts in the main structure in both sides.

Step 8: ASSEMBLE

Then assemble all body parts and gap-maintained parts.
