CBC Cardboard Box Chair

This is the process of making our cardboard box chair.

Step 1: Step 1

First my group member and I cut an inch down the seem of the box and half an inch long to make a hole/rectangle.

Step 2: Step 2

After my partner and I cut the hole, we then folded the smaller flaps on the top of the box inward and put both the folded flaps inside the holes.

Step 3: Step 3

For the 3rd step, we had taped all the pieces together to hold it from coming apart.

Step 4: Step 4

The box was kind of flimsy, so we decided to tape the bottom flaps together.

Step 5: Step 5

After we tried to sit on our seat, we noticed that the edges we starting to fall downwards and we needed to add a support system. (We didn't get any pictures of us putting the support pieces on).

Step 6: Step 6

After everything was done, my partner and I painted the chair.

Step 7: Step 7

The final step, we had one of our friends sit on the chair for us. (He weighs 120lbs.)
