Introduction: CELL PHONE VORTEX/GRAVE PRANK
This prank will confuse and boggle the minds of your prey! This box is a phone muncher that is disguised as a super fast charger. When your victim decides to try out the new-high-tech charger, 05 seconds later the phone disappears! When your victim finds out the box sucked up the phone, your victim will struggle with the box, clicking various buttons to find out what happened. Laugh at your prey! After some struggle their phone will be released from the dead.
Step 1: Materials

Step 2: Testing Electronic Components
Test and combine all your components with Arduino.
Connect your Servo. Put the brown wire to ground, red wire to 5v (+) and orange wire to digital pin "9".
Connect break beam sensor. The one with two wires, connect red to 5v (+) and black to ground. The other break beam sensor with three wires, connect red to 5v (+), black to ground and white to digital pin "4".
Upload Code from computer (Attached As A File) to Arduino Nano.
Plug into Power Bank
Move on to the next step when the Servo motor moves after breaking the break beam sensor.
Step 3: Soldering
There are two options:
Option 1 Allows for the Components to be Re-Useable in the Future
Solder the break-beam wires and any loose wires to breadboard jumper wires. Connect these to your breadboard. Make sure all connections are strong so that your victim will not accidentally break the connection.
Option 2 is for a More Permanent Configuration
Solder all components, including the Arduino Nano to a soldering board. This will ensure extreme connection and stability.
After doing these steps you can move on to creating the box.
Step 4: Preparing Sizes for the Exterior Box
To prepare the box:
We will need to prepare some plywood quarter inch thick.
Prepare 6 large panels of the following sizes:
2 Panels - 9" x 6"
2 Panels - 7" x 6"
Cut Out A Hole 3.5" x 0.75" in the Middle of 1 of These Panels that Fits a Phone
1 Panel - 9.5" x 7"
1 Panel (Cut in Half) - 9.5" x 7"
In one of these halves cut the desired amount of holes the size of the diameter for your desired buttons.
Prepare 9+ small panels and one wood dowel of the following sizes:
Wooden dowel with one sharp point - 7" length - Quarter Inch Thick
1 Small Panel - 1" x 4.75"
2 Small Panels - 1.5" x 4"
2 Small Panels to Surround Servo Motor (Make Panels To Your Own Judgement for Your Servo Motor Size)
2 Panels - 3.5" in x 2"
4 Small Panels to Contain Power Bank (Make Panels To Your Own Judgement for Your Power Bank Size)
2 Small Panels 4" x 1.25"
2 Min Panels 1.25 " x .25"
Step 5: Creating the Shell of the Exterior Box
1 Panel (Cut in Half) - 9.5" x 7" and attach a hinge to let make half of it fold over.
Take the hinged panel (the 9.5" x 7" that we previously cut in half) as well as the:
2 Panels - 9" x 6"
1 Panel - 7" x 6" (The One With the Hole)
1 Panel (Cut in Half) - 9.5" x 7"
and wood-glue them together with a friend in order to make the shell of the box without the bottom lid. The last 7" x 6" panel will be left for last in order to close the entire box.
Add the fake buttons if desired where you previously cut holes.
Step 6: Using Small Panels for the Interior of the Box
Use the 1 small panel (1" x 4.75") and super glue the 7" wooden dowel with the flat end to the small panel. The sharp point (looks like a pencil) will be used as a stabilizer.
On the reverse of this small panel, opposite where the wooden dowel is glued, drill holes from one wing of the servo motor in order to stabilize the wing.
Use the 2 small panels (1.5" x 4") to wood glue them onto the interior of the panel with the opening for your phone (this is the 7" x 6" that is our "top").
Use various small panels to surround the servo motor that will be on the interior of the box, next to the opening for your phone.
Wood glue this when you are ready for a fixed position. You can use tape in the meantime to prototype the sizes of small panels.
Where the bottom of the box will be make a holder using small panels for your power bank. Make sure you leave space for the USB to be plugged in with a stable connection.
Again, use tape for prototyping sizes for your battery pack and wood glue when you are ready for a permanent fix.
Step 7: Combine All of the Parts Together
After your wood glued components have dried you can bring your electronic components onto the interior of the box.
Use double sided tape or carefully glue the breadboard to the interior. Make sure everything is good before you move onto gluing the bottom portion.
You can use magnet tape or double sided tape to secure the hinged panel to the other portion of the box.
Step 8: Stickers!
If you want you can use stickers to decorate the exterior!
For stickers - make a black and white design on illustrator or photoshop. Use a die-cutter to cut out your shapes. You can also just print on white sticker paper and cut out your design with scissors.
Step 9: Set Up Your Prank Box in a Busy Location!
After you completed decorating your prank box it is time to set it up in a busy location to target your prey.
Watch your prey as they investigate the "fast wireless charger" and their phone goes to the grave!
