Introduction: CROC TAGS

Introduction:

My name is Akalonu Chukwuduzie Blaise, and I am a student at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.

Problem:

My Crocs footwear has become very common in my school, and often times it is hard to know my particular footwear. I came up with this solution to identify my footwear in public and also to make sure that I don't mix it up when I go into a room with my friends.

The initials "F" and "U" are after my roommate's initials, Frederick Uka, who always loves to wear Crocs once he gets the chance.

i used tinkercad for the letters, because its a lot easier, then transitioned fusion 360 for the clip, which is a lot easier to achieve with fusion 360 tools

Supplies

  1. 3D Printer (Ender 3V2) from my school Engineering Laboratory
  2. Digital Calipers for measurement

Step 1: "U-Design"

  1. Open TinkerCAD software online
  2. Go to the text tool and edit to the letters "F" and "U" in the different scenarios.
  3. In the top right-hand corner of TinkerCAD, send to fusion 360.
  4. Create a sketch on the top face of the letter "U" .
  5. Using the overall slot tool, sketch a slot "12mm" long and "2.5mm" wide.
  6. Extrude the sketch of the slot by 5mm in accordance to the thickness of the Crocs measured with the Caliper.
  7. Create a sketch on the top face of the extruded slot and offset the slot by "2mm".
  8. Extrude the offset sketch by "2mm".
  9. Fillet the top face of the extruded sketch by "2mm".
