Introduction: CUSTOMIZED DECORATIVE CLOCK

About: I am interested in reverse engineering a thing. Also interested in beekeeping, DIY, cycling, gardening, and farming.

HOW ARE YOU FRIENDS?I COME BACK WITH A NEW INSTRUCTABLE. WE ALL KNOW ABOUT ANALOG CLOCKS IT IS A IMPORTANT THING IN ALL PLACES BEFORE A DECADE,BUT NOW DIGITAL CLOCKS AND SMART PHONES FILL THE PLACES OF IT. BE READY TO MAKE A DECORATIVE AND STYLISH,CUSTOMIZED CLOCK FROM A TRASH BROKEN OLD CLOCK.

Step 1: MATERIALS NEEDED

  1. PAPER BOARD OR CARDBOARD
  2. CLOCK DRIVER(I TAKE IT FROM AN OLD BROKEN CLOCK)
  3. PLASTIC PEARLS(TAKE IT FROM PLASTIC WEARABLE)
  4. KNIFE OR SCISSOR
  5. GLUE
  6. PENCIL
  7. COMPASS
  8. WHITE PLAIN PAPER
  9. PRINTED PHOTO(IF YOU WANT)
  10. SYRINGE
  11. COLOR INKS

Step 2: CUT THE PAPER BOARD

Cut the paper board according to your own dimensions,be sure to include the needle of the clock.

Step 3: Sanding

If your paper board or card board seems to be very rough put a sanding paper on it and polish it.

Step 4: Paste the Paper or Photo in It

Cut the paper or photo into your own shape, here I cut the paper into a circle.then paste it over the paper board.

Step 5: Divide the Shape

It may be a circle or any other shape,we must divide it into 60 equal parts, because 60 minutes is one hour.use a pro circle or any other equipment to do it and mark the sections with a pencil. each section consists of 6 degree

Step 6: Write the Numbers for Hours

using a pencil ,write the hours in appropriate place, use your own style of writing. It will give a new look for your clock.

Step 7: Decorate the Hours

Now,put some glue over the pencil marking.put the plastic pearls over the glue one by one.I will require more patience to do with glues that will take more time to dry.

Step 8: Decorate the Minutes

I decorate the minutes using single pearl.you can use your own kind of decoration.

Step 9: Painting With Sanding Sealer

I allow some paper board to be visible.I am going to coat it with sanding sealer and then with finishing coat used for wood.I t will impart a shiny look to your clock.

Step 10: Spraying Ink Over the Plain Paper

I used a syringe to spray ink.first i sucked small amount of ink into the syringe, then push it into the ink bottle.there will be small ink droplets. then suck air into the syringe.push the syringe now it will spray the ink

Step 11: Fitting the Clock Driver

Make a small in the center of the clock to allow the shaft of the clock driver .put the clock driver in place and screw it,then fit the needles then put a battery in the back case.FOR WORKING VIDEO click here
