Introduction: Camper Radio Instlation
So the radio in our 20 year old camper was done and it needed some new tunes. This is how I went about wiring a modern radio in to the old system AND got some more storage out of the deal!

I know this is a bit late, but I have read that a 9 volt battery will keep a radio's memory alive when you disconnect a car battery. So, if you put a switch between the trailer battery and radio, you can wire a 9 volt battery connection between the switch and the radio. This will keep the 9volt from trying to power anything else in the camper besides the radio's memory. Then when you reconnect the battery to the camper, turn the radio on, disconnect the 9 volt, and flip the switch to on so that the memory is powered from the camper again.
