Intro: Can Instructables Help Out My Room?

I have just moved into a relatively small apartment and can't really afford new furniture as I've spent my most of my money on the apartment itself. My living room is a combination of the kitchen, front door, and bathroom. Hopefully by the end of the year I'll save up enough money where I could atleast get a better apartment. Thanks

I don't know where you are but you can get furniture on freecycle.

If you're renting and only staying for a few months going to all the trouble of finding furniture might not be worth it, especially since you'll just burden yourself with moving all that stuff to your next apartment...
It sounds like you just want to make your stay in that room a little more enjoyable so I would say hang some posters maybe add some house plants.
If there are a few pieces you're missing Instructables has a lot of info about how to make furniture out of cardboard.

Thanks for the links, I'm thinking of adding some herb plants both for cooking, adding some scent to my room, and that the leaves make for a snack hear and there.

Help friends who move, when they move they tend to throw out a lot of furniture.

Really you only need two chairs, and a skinny table and you will have the right amount of furniture for your apartment.

First thing you can do is make your bed, LOL

You don't necessarily need to recuperate directly some full working furniture. Borrow a hammer and nails and a hand saw, find some wood in the scrap yard/back streets (cut up old pallets for boxes etc) start by making a stand for your keyboard, if you can, find a box of some kind, a crate or something, fit it under your keyboard stand. Make something for keeping your clothes, doesn't have to be shelves or wardrobes, just hanging space or floor level tidy boxes. Make floor level shelves for books if you have any and put them along a wall so they also serve as a bench with a folded sheet over them (recupperated sheet?).
There are a few instructables in the workshop section about simple furniture that'll cost you very little, try those out.

Can instructables help? It depends on how much you want to do, how much you have to spend and what tools you have, there is all kinds of stuff on here to improve your place. The best way though is to watch the curbs and dumpsters for stuff you can use as is or repurpose. Just today I found a small vacuum cleaner that works just fine and a shelving unit with a door on one side (I think its called a wardrobe) it's missing a shelf and the board on the back is missing a chunk at the bottom. In the past week I've found 2 headboards and a metal bed frame

I too look around my town for things I could use, sadly all I've find was an old Flat Panel some resturaunt was throwing out. It was going to be for my living room but sadly it burnt out the 2nd day I had it. What I really want is just some advice to make my room look a little better as it's really the only "room" in my apartment other than the makeshift living room/kitchen thing. I can't really renovate as I am just renting and the only pets I can have are goldfish.
