Introduction: Canine Fruit Salad

I came up with this salad idea by looking up what would be safe fruits and vegetables for a dog to eat. I relied on the AKC's Fruits and Vegetables Dogs Can and Can't Eat. Using fruits, Romaine and a plastic stemless wine glass I had in my kitchen, I developed this recipe to make a small serving of fruit salad that you can feed to a dog.

Supplies

1 cutting board

1 knife

1 small preparation container - I used a plastic stemless wine glass

1/3 diced banana

1 strawberry, diced

1 Romaine leaf, sliced into small pieces

Step 1: Cut Up the Romaine Leaf Into Small Pieces and Add to Bottom of Salad

Cut up your Romaine leaf into small pieces and add to the bottom of the salad. For this project, I used a plastic stemless wine glass, but you could use another type of small container you have on hand.

Step 2: Dice the Banana and Add

A 1/3 piece of banana can be used if you have a larger dog. If you have a small dog, think about only using 1 or 2 small pieces of banana. Once you have diced, add to the salad.

Step 3: Dice the Strawberry

Dice the strawberry and add to the salad.

Step 4: Feed to Your Dog

Now that you are finished with the salad, you can feed it to your dog. You can add it to the regular feeding dish.
