Introduction: Cannabis Suppositories in 7 Easy Steps

Many believe cannabis is most effective when eating it properly decarboxylized. This is simply because you consume one hundred percent of the medicine and none goes up in smoke. Undoubtedly, cannabis has proven to be a very effective medicine but one in ten can be very sensitive to ingesting cannabis orally.

Others believe rectal suppositories provides even more bio-availability without the stomach upset some experience and without the extreme high feeling that one tenth of us cannot bare.

Step 1: Acquire High Quality Cannabis Extract From a Reliable Source

There are many options on how to decarboxylate your medicine and turn
it into extract form but it can be costly and probably better left to those who produce large quantities en masse. Ten grams of cannabis flowers usually has a price of 60 - 100 dollars for ten grams. On average ten grams of cannabis can be converted to .7 to 1.2 grams of concentrate. one gram of high quality concentrate can cost an average of anywhere from $20 - $60 dollars per gram. This can equal a savings from 40 - 80 dollars per gram and you didn't have to endanger your safety, your surroundings or your loved ones by making the extract at home.

Step 2: Gather Your Tools and Ingredients

You will need:

  • 500 ml Mason jar with lid
  • a cup or jar for the filled straws that can sit upright in your freezer and its lid or cover
  • scissors
  • medical tape
  • milkshake straws
  • a warmer for the oil and cocoa butter
  • scale to measure ingredients

Step 3: Warm Your Oils and Mix Well

Measure your ingredients 3:1. So if you have 30 grams of extract then you will need 90 grams of cocoa butter.

It is easiest to mix the two ingredients if you melt the cocoa butter first then add your cannabis concentrate. Make sure you use a warmer that doesn't warm the ingredients above 100 degrees.

Once the two are melted together put the lid on the mason jar and shake vigorously until completely dissolved uniformly together.

Step 4: Prepare Your Straws

Fold over and tape the ends of your straws with medical tape so the warmed ingredients will not leak. Put them in a cup so they sit up straight and are ready to fill.

Step 5: Fill Your Straws

With a syringe or a baby dropper, fill the straws sitting in the cup.

Step 6: Cool Off and Cut Up Into Suppositories

Put the cup of straws in freezer for an hour. Cut the straws into six or eight portions and put them back in the jar they were standing in before you cut them. Put the lid on and store in the freezer for up to one year.

Step 7: How to Use

Just push them out of the straws sections and insert into your rectum.
