Introduction: Car Audio Home Theater

Hello! If you are reading this then you are interested in my project Car Audio Home Theater.I hope you like it, enjoy!

Step 1: Parts and Tools

Hi there!

For this simple project I used Old car head unit.

Pair of old radio speakers 8w 4ohm.

12V DC power adapter

Soldering iron, saw, drill and electrical tape. (Optional)

Step 2: Wiring.

For wiring you will need to find right wiring diagram for your head unit.

In some cases there is clues on wires about were they need to connect to so be sure to check out wires for info too.

My head unit needed to be connected to 12+ battery, 12V+ ignition and 12V- (ground) in order to be powered on, so be sure to check out if your head unit uses two or more wires to be powered on. My other head unit (Blaupunkt) had only 12V+ and 12V- (ground). These need to be connected to 12V power adapter 12V+ and ground.

After head unit is finally connected you can add as many speakers as there is channels just be sure to choose right power supply for your application because my had 25W peak power and has problems under heavy loads.

Step 3: Visual

After dealing with wiring would be only nice to contain this head unit in some kind of nice housing, so i tested if all work and made quite nice box for it. I really like how it turned out. Here is few pics. :))
