Hi!

I propose here a carboard Hygiaphone.

This hygiaphone will not remplace the real offical medical mask, and, the better protection against covid 19, as we know, is staying at home, washing the hands frequenty, and avoiding other people.

Making this, and wearing this, will be under your own responsability. :-)

This cardboard Hygiaphone is very easy to made, and i hope you will have fun doing this ! :-)

You wil need:

- One A3 Sheet of cardboard

- One Acetate A4 Sheet

- Scissors, cutter, scotch (rubber)

- Eventually velcro, but if you don't have, you can replace with scotch (rubber)

You have two ways to do this:

- Do It Yourself, without a lasercutting machine, then, you can print the PDF files you have here, and follow step buy step here, how to do it! :-)

- Using a lasercutting machine, you can download the dxf files. Be aware to know how you have to present the layers for the lasercutting machine you use. Units are in millimeters.

Step 1: Step 1: Drawing the Shape

The project is made from 2 carboard pieces, and A4 acetate sheet.

The first cardboard piece is like a cap, and the second cardboard piece, il like sunglasses, but without glasses.

I chose this design, in order to have fun with the design, it seems to me that the idea of of a design close to sunglasses, is a good way to have fun with a protection like this. :-)

So first, i recommend you to re-draw the sheet you have just printed, in order to be able to use it again.

Step 2: STEP 2: CUTTING WITH SCISSORS THE DRAWING

Then, once you have drawn the two shapes, you can take scissors in order to cut it.

Step 3: STEP 3: PUTTING THE DRAWINGS ON THE CARDBOARD

Now, you just have to fix the two drawings on your cardboard sheet.

Step 4: STEP 4: TAKING YOUR CUTTER TO CUT THE CARDBOARD

So now, you have to take your cutter, and cut around the layers. Be careful using cutter! :-)

At the end, you will have two separate shapes, like this.

Step 5: STEP 5: THE A4 ACETATE SHEET

So now, you will have to cut the A4 acetate sheet, like the pdf file show you to do this.

After, you will have to introduce the acetate inside the hole of the cardboard cap.

Be aware to do this like i show you in the photos.

Step 6: STEP 6: PUTTING TOGETHER THE TWO CARBOARD PIECES AND THE ACETATE SHEET

Then, you have to put together the two cardboard pieces. I recommand to put velcro, in order to assembly easily the two pieces. If you don't have this, scotch can do it.

Step 7: STEP 7: DETAILS

Here you can see details of the objects. It is very important to see how i fold the top of the A4 acetate sheet, in order it won't fall. In case you want be shure that the hygiaphone won't fall wearing it on your head, you can add on the branchs elastic, or velcro, behind your head.
