Cardboard Crocs/slippers SUPER EASY!

This is a fun and easy way to make slippers with items from just around the house. They're decently durable and comfortable you could put insulation in them for a little more comfort but they're mostly okay by themselves. you can completely customize these, don't let my instructions limit you. Its recommended to let glue dry before other steps. I wouldn't suggest using these outdoors but you do you.

Supplies

• pencil/pen
• scissors
• cardboard box
• sheet of reinforced cardboard
• duct tape
• glue (decently strong)

Step 1: Set the Size and Cut Sole.

Take a shoe that is your size and trace the sole onto the reinforced cardboard. I put a cut in the sole where I wanted it to bend for walking.

Step 2: Add Another Layer to the Sole.

Cut a normal piece of cardboard to the same shape and size. Glue it to the thicker sole. I also had a bend in the cardboard where the thick sole is separated (for bend).

Step 3: Add Part of the Roof of the Shoe

Cut a piece of cardboard that will reach the sole with your foot under it. cut tabs so you can glue them to sole. tuck all tabs and glue them to the sole.

Step 4: Add Rest of Roof

cut a piece of cardboard with enough room for the top of your foot like the other part. cut a small part off for your ankle to fit in.

Step 5: Tape Gaps

make sure when you tape gaps to have another piece on the inside so the shoe doesn't stick to your foot ;) cover all gaps except for back.

Step 6: Make It Look Like It's Not a Train.

it sort of looks like a train right now so we'll want to cover that gap so it won't look as bad. don't worry it will still be flexible on that area.

Step 7: Put in Tab (to Keep Your Foot in the Sandal)

cut a decently thin piece of cardboard (the longer the better). tape it to one side so you can tuck it in on the other side.

Step 8: Touch Ups and Customization

pretty much whatever floats your boat. let your imagination go wild with patterns and shapes on the slippers. Enjoy!!!
