Cardboard Pirate Knife

Do your kids want to be pirates but aren't quite old enough to wield a real knife? These durable knives, strategically crafted of popsicle sticks and cardboard, will complete your little buccaneer's outfit.

Step 1: Get Your Supplies.

Step 2: Mix the Paint.

Step 3: Draw the Shape of the Blade on the Cardboard

Step 4: Cut Out Each Blade Half.

Step 5: Paint the The Halves

Step 6: Cut Out and Paint the Handle Pieces.

Step 7: Cut the Legs Off of 6 Brass Fasteners.

Step 8: Glue 3 of the Top Parts on Each Side of the Handle.

Step 9: Glue 4 Craft Sticks to the Blade and Handle for Stability.

Step 10: Glue on the Other Blade Half.

Step 11: Glue the Other Handle Piece On.

Step 12: Add Some Trim (optional) and Your Done!
