Introduction: Cardboard Scratching Post

About: I'm a cat..

Hi Folks !

i've made a scratching post using only cardboard and threaded rod for my cat.

I've included it to my home-made cat tree.

Step 1: Supplies

For this project, you only need :

Cardboard, a threaded rod, 2 washers and 2 nuts

The tools you need are :

a drill, scissors, and wrench for the nuts.

Step 2: Cardboard Disk

Draw circle on a cardboard with a pipe or a pringles box then use scissors to cut them.

thread threaded rod into cardboard disk. You can mount threaded rod on a drill and spine to include cardboard and screw them easily.

Step 3: Include to the Cat Tree

Drill 2 holes on your cat tree or on 2 pieces of wood where you want to set your scratching post in.

Step 4: Final

Set the scratching post in place and add nuts

and it's over !

I hope your cat will love and use it as mine.

Thank you very much for reading,
If you liked this intructable and if you have any questions or tips please leave me a comment and don’t forget to vote for it :P !

My cat would probably love this. If I buy something from a store, he completely ignores it. But if I make something from random stuff around the house, he stays entertained for hours.

Exactly a torn piece of paper is the best game for a cat !
