Introduction: Cardboard/Paperboard Texture Art
Art that visually impaired and people with good eyesight both can experience. This art can be seen and it also has texture to it. We will be using paperboard for our art canvas; you can use cardboard or paperboard.
Step 1: Supplies and Materials
You will need:
- Knife
- Art supplies
- Scissors
- Pen
- Cardboard
Step 2: Cardboard Cutting
You may need to cut your cardboard or paperboard. You may want to have straight edges, so try to cut them as straight as possible.
Step 3: Etching Your Art
Get your utility knife and start etching your art into the cardboard or paperboard. Be sure to be careful when dealing with a knife. I etched a tree onto my paperboard.
Step 4: Base Color
You can draw with a black ink pen or marker if you want on your etching. You can draw on or in the etched lines or just in the area.
Step 5: Color
You can also add some color to your picture if you want. You can use markers like I did or something else. You can color on the lines you etched or in the general area.
Step 6: Finishing Up
Good job! Now you have art to show your friends. If you decide to hang it up, be sure to make it so that you and your friends can still feel the texture.
