Carter Slade Cosplay

Carter Slade is an ex-Texas ranger. Therefore, he's gotta look like a cowboy. However, he's also a flaming skeleton. So, you'll need a pair of faded blue jeans, cowboy boots, and an olive green button up-or polo shirt. You will also need a brown western duster, leather cowboy hat, and a brown/tan bandana. Now, for the demon part of it, you need black and white face paint, a pair of skeleton gloves, and a fiery wig. Optional parts include:a red glow bracelet and a skull half-mask.

Step 1: The Skull

Above are 3 different examples how to paint your face for the skull. I used the third example. If desired, you can use a mask like the optional one and paint it white. That way, you only have to worry about the eyes and forehead of your face-painting canvas. Don't worry about the hairlines, you are going to be wearing a wide-brimmed hat.

Step 2: The Gloves

You can go out and buy a pair of skeleton gloves. Or you can make your own, as I did. I went out and bought a pair of white cotton gloves. Then we dyed them orange. I then printed some skeleton gloves onto a stretchy polyester shirt. I then cut out the hands and glued them to the back of the gloves. I chose orange to make it look more like fire. Now, when putting it together, wear those glowing bracelets under the duster. it will apply a red glow that makes it look even more fiery. MOVING ON!

Step 3: The Fire

To make the fire, i used a wig i cut off of a creepy clown mask. To put it on, wear the wig, elastic side up, with the hat holding it on. then, tie the bandana around your face just above the nose, then slide it down to the base of your chin. if need be, you can put gel in the wig to make it look like a solid flame. the hat holds it on, and the bandana holds the base down. do this after putting on the mask and before the face paint. Step 4: Putting It All Together

To put it together, you need to wear your shirt tucked in with a large belt buckle. Then put the boots on, tucked into the jeans. Next, you do the face. I have described this in the previous step. Lastly, slide on the duster. Now, you just grab your demon horse, cool shotgun, and start collecting on the devil's deals.
